Millicent Parmelee Obituary

Millicent E Parmelee (Millie), 89, of Sumner (Enumclaw) passed away peacefully, April 16, 2024, with her loving son, Jim and daughter in law, Kate by her side.

Millie was born February 21, 1935, the first of three children to James and Mildred Hunter in Kemmerer, WY.

Millie married James L Parmelee on July 6, 1954, they had 1 child, James S Parmelee.

Millie worked as a Travel Agent and then for many years at Boeing.

Millie loved to travel, she had traveled throughout Europe and also to the Amazon Rain Forest. Millie also enjoyed archeological and assisted in many digs. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed camping and had fond memories of camping with family and friends.

Millie is survived by her son, Jim; daughter in law, Kate; grandchildren, Jessica (Paul) Chavez, Logan (Amy) Parmelee; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Lilly, Gavin; brother Clark Hunter

Millie was preceded in death by her husband James Parmelee; parents James and Mildred Hunter; sister Patti Hoksbergen; nephew Jeff Hunter.

It was Millie’s wish not to have a Funeral service however she loved rock and roll, and requested we play AC/DC when we scatter her ashes at the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, a place that was very special to her.

Memorials or donations may be made in Millie’s name to any animal shelter.
