Virginia Rae Sutherland

Virginia (Ginny) Rae Sutherland was born in Drayton, ND to John and Helen Sutherland. Her family moved to Puyallup WA in 1943 and to Sumner WA in 1945. She graduated from Sumner High School in 1958 and, after attending business school, began her career in the insurance industry. After living in Seattle during her working years, upon retirement, she moved back to Sumner, buying a home in the Riverwalk Condominium community. Ginny loved golf, gardening, travel and people. She was a caregiver to her mother and her older sister Jackie and a loyal and loving aunt to her nieces and nephew. Ginny is survived by her brother John Dyke Sutherland and wife Barbara. She was preceded in death by siblings Jackie, Marilyn and Don. No memorial services planned. Suggested donations: Class of 1958 Scholarship Fund at Sumner High School or the Sumner Food Bank.
