We're very sad to announce that Virginia Boyd passed away on September 21st 2023.
She lived to be 100 years old. "God Bless Her Soul". She was born in Fresno California on Mach 9th 1923.
She was a career woman who retired after 30 years serving in the Federal Civil Service. She was a Computer Systems Analyst and rose to the high position of the Chief of Operations at Fort Lewis Logistic Center Data Processing Center. No easy task for any woman working in Military environment run by men. She was incredibly strong minded and dedicated successful business woman who held Secret Security Clearances both in the Aviation Industry in San Diego during WWII and for her sensitive job she held in the Federal Civil Service.
She managed to evolve into a woman who overcame all of the challenges of being a Military wife and raising 3 children and having a high powered career. She was respected by everybody that worked for her and loved by all. She could be tough too but she was an elegant woman and just as nice as any woman could be. She was the Rock of our family her whole life. We all loved her dearly and we will all miss her beautiful smile and her good nature and her humor.
We know she is with the Angels now and probably in charge of something important in Heaven.
Rest in peace mother. We're mourning now but you left us a lifetime of fond memories. You will be in all of our hearts and minds forever.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Dempster A Boyd Sr who passed away November 16th 2011 and her brother Bob Greenamyer. She is survived by her sister Jackie Lewis and her son Carl in California.
Her daughter Leslie Baker and her two sons. Michael Schatz and his son Joel and wife Samantha and their two children. Mike's daughter Jessie Schatz and and her three children. Richard Schatz and wife Sherry and their daughter Zoey and son, Christopher Schatz. Dempster A Boyd Jr and his wife to be Sharon Sapp. Robert A Boyd and wife Cheryl and his son David Boyd and his 4 children.
