Timothie Millsaps, longtime Puyallup resident, passed peacefully on Christmas Day surrounded by family at the age of 74.
Born on August 5, 1948 in Pasco, Washington to Paul and Marie (Stubblefield) Millsaps. He was born and raised in the Triâ€Cities, Tim graduated from Kennewick High School and shortly after went overseas to Vietnam.
It was while overseas that he proposed to his girlfriend, Gloria Schuman via letter in the sweetest of love stories. After his safe return from Vietnam, Tim and Gloria married on August 16, 1969; they celebrated 53 years together this year.
After completing his service in Augusta, GA they returned to Eastern Washington. At this time Tim graduated from CBC with his Associates Degree. To complete his education, he attended Central Washington University to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis on accounting. After he graduated, the couple settled in the Puget Sound area where they raised two beautiful children who are now grown and have families of their own.
Tim worked for the Milk Market Administration at the USDA as an auditor for dairy farms in the Puget Sound from which he retired in 2008.
Described as quiet with an easy smile and a great sense of humor by family and friends, Tim had a love of board games, baseball, football, bowling, and camping. He especially found great joy in seeing the success of his children and his grandchildren.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marie (Stubblefield) Millsaps. He is survived by his wife Gloria, his daughter Jennifer (Dario) Franco, his son Jeffrey (Precious) Millsaps, his two grandsons and his siblings, Linda Millsaps, Mary (Millsaps) Manson, and John Millsaps.
He will be fondly remembered for his love of donut holes, oldies, westerns, memorizing sports stats, and jokes.
His internment will take place at a later date in Kennewick, Washington at Desert Lawn Memorial. Contact a
