Thomas Wayne Fox was born on October 7, 1938 in Roseville, Arkansas. On Monday evening, July 10, 2023, surrounded by family, Wayne Fox passed away, leaving his illness and pain behind.
His parents, Thomas Jefferson Fox and Bessie Beatrice had 13 children, 11 of whom grew to adulthood. They lived on a cotton farm raising produce and livestock and depending on the large family to work the farm. He moved to Washington State, where he met his future wife, Betty Lucille Jewett. They were married in June of 1960 and celebrated 63 years of marriage last month. Wayne served in the armed forced and was stationed in France in the early 1960’s.
They raised a family in West Seattle. He worked for US Gypsum drywall. He drove for Emery Air Freight and eventually became dispatcher for the company. Briefly, he retired, then started driving a passenger van for Weyerhaeuser between their two campuses in Federal Way.
Wayne is survived by his wife Betty,
Brian and Bethany, Patty and Lisanne,
Grandchildren and spouses: Jonathan and Sally, David and Starre, Luke and Anna Greta, Joe and Anna Eason, Maya and Lou.
Great Grandchildren: Adelaide and Kaden, Juliet and Minli, Virginia, Natalie, and Hudson
