Sharon Janice Parr, 71, wife of Victor Thomas Parr of Tacoma, Washington passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the SHARP Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California.
Born July 17, 1948 in Bellingham, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Paul Fuchs and M. Janece Krein.
Sharon graduated High school in Bellingham, Washington before taking two years of nursing school at Tacoma General Hospital. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Everett General and Sedro-Wooley Memorial before beginning work at Weyerhaeuser where she retired from. Sharon was an active parishioner at St. Andrews in Sumner, Washington and a member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter V. During her retirement years she enjoyed spending time with family and traveling around the world with her husband.
She is survived by her husband Victor Parr of Tacoma, Washington; mother M. Janece Krein of Bellingham; daughter Sonda Swanberg of Lakewood, son Marcus Collins and his wife Roxanna of Great Falls, Montana; two grandsons Mathew Foster and Shaun Collins, four granddaughters Kaitlyn Foster, Sharon Foster, Destiny Collins, and Felicity Collins; and five great grandchildren. Sharon also had four step-children; Teresa Bishop, Travis Parr, Nichole Parr, and Bradley Parr.
Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Fuchs and brother, Paul Fuchs.
The viewing will be conducted on Sunday March 1st from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Powers Funeral Home, 320 West Pioneer Ave, Puyallup. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 2nd, at 11:00 AM in St. Andrews Church, 1401 Valley Avenue East, Sumner WA 98390. Interment will be Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:15 AM in Tahoma National Cemetery.
