Robert I. Miller, AKA: Boppin Bob passed away peacefully in the hospital at the ripe old age of 89.
Robert is survived by his beautiful, love of his life, his wife Isobel, his son, Steven and daughter, Suzie., many grandchildren and great grandchildren and friends.
Robert was born in Idaho Falls. He met his first wife, Maryann and was married. From their union came Steven and Suzie. Their marriage lasted over 20 years. A few months after her passing, he met Isobel and asked her to marry him and she agreed. Robert worked a variety of positions throughout his life. He served in the Vietnam War, drove tow truck, he was an autobody repairman, drove long haul truck and did some logging. Robert was a hard worker, working up until his 87th birthday and he only quit as he was following his doctors orders. His greatest joys were his children and his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, sharing stories, canning, watching westerns and attending church. He enjoyed joking around. Robert recently interviewed with Jesse Jones from KIRO about not getting military benefits, not only speaking on his behalf, but many other veterans who have not received their benefits.
Robert had a fiery spirit that inspired everyone around him, especially his walking group. In fact after his first leg was amputated, his walking group gave him an award and it read:
Recognition of inspiration: “The ability to get through the rough times and come out with a great sense of humor! You inspire us all!!
