Rita L. Fox, 71, Graham, WA, died peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on December 24, 2021 at 6:09 AM at Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, WA. Rita was born on September 2, 1950 at Providence Hospital in Seattle. She graduated from Holy Names Academy in Seattle, Renton High School and University of Washington where she obtained a degree in Accounting and then earned her certificate as a Certified Public Accountant.
As an IRS Revenue Agent, she found a $140,000,000 fraud case after she developed a new auditing technique. She was frequently requested by name to assist on many audits. While at US Department of Transportation, Office of the Inspector General, she received awards for reviewing airline customer service issues, improving transportation security and aviation security and monitoring TSA. Rita was a Catholic Youth Organization instructor at Saint Anthony Church, Kent, WA and a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Tax Preparer in Seattle, Kent, and Stuttghart, Germany. She was very kind to everyone and endeavored to assist people whenever she could. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is in heaven.
Rita is survived by her husband, Jim T. Fox (they had over 50 marvelous years of marriage together), their daughter Marie Kellermann, son-in-law Greg Kellermann, and granddaughter Julia Kellermann of Puyallup. She will be buried at Tahoma National Cemetery on January 21, 2022.
