Randy was born April 6,1963 at St.Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. He unexpectedly passed away February 1,2023 at his home in Puyallup, Washington. He was about 4 when he started to hang out in the Pits at the drag races at Puyallup Raceway, S.I.R., Bremerton, and Spokane Raceway with his dad while his dad raced his dragster that the Coop Brothers sponsored. Then about 9 he got into scouting. He was a Boy scout with troop 535 which his dad was Scoutmaster of 535.He'd achieved eagle scout and had gone to the World Jamboree , an honor in Boy Scouts. At 16 he went to work for his dad at H&H Diesel Service as a machines for 16 years, when he was about 20 he took up flying Ultralights with his dad. And volunteered working on the Foothills Rails to Trails Coalition with his parents Jackie and Slade. And also worked on "Slades Mile" after his father died.in tribute to his dad. Then he changed occupations to be a roadie at Louis in five for awhile working for Upstage Crew Services where he traveled to Utah, being a roadie he had worked for Pit bull one of many entertainers he roadies for. After awhile he became homesick and came home to Puyallup and started his own business as a repairman. He called himself "Handy Randy" and his motto, taken from an ACDC song "Dirty deeds done dirt cheap" He hard started remodeling and repairing older buildings in and around the Puyallup area. He was well liked and respected. He worked real hard and his work was exceptional. He was a Free Mason a member of Royal A. Gove Masonic Lodge#230. He is survived by his mother Jackie Holmes of Puyallup, his brother Tracy Holmes, and his sister Haley Holmes of Bucoda, Washington. He is preceded in death by his father Slade Hale Holmes and his sister Holly Laura Holmes.
