Patsy Jeane Dankel was born on July 4, 1929 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She and her sister, Maxine, moved across the country to Clallum Bay, Washington and lived with a close family friend, Tommie, in order to complete high school. Then she stayed with relatives in Seattle while taking clerical courses.
Patsy loved to dance and was active in the local USO along with her good friend Pat Lemon. It was here that she met and then married a returning Korean War Veteran named Larry Dankel in June 1955. They were soon parents to four children born in three years! Kris, Laura, and the twins, Janet and Scot, kept life busy for this stay-at-home mom. She was the hub of the wheel that kept life spinning and communication going.
Patsy loved the Lord and enjoyed reading as well as creating artistic handcrafts. She had an active mind and was interested in current events/news around the world right to the end. Patsy leaves a legacy of ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren who benefit from her daily prayers of faith. May she rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
