Michael Howard Webb

With great sadness, Michael "Mike" Webb passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2023. He always will be remembered for great sense of humor, quick wittedness, and extreme kindness to all animals. He was always there for people and animals alike to a fault. Mike and I met on a blind date over 20 years ago in Tacoma. I was a bit shy, but Mike was so engaging, after our first date I remember talking with him for hours in the Target parking lot in Tacoma and the rest is history. We traveled both inside and outside Washington State and our favorite local spot was Seaside, Oregon. Most recently, we made Palm Springs our choice of places to visit, taking in all things 60s, especially given our recent move to mid-century home in Puyallup that was previously built by the original owner in 1963. We love it for all its original features. He would prepare a detailed itinerary for each of the trips, always keeping us on time and where we needed to be. We celebrated ten years of marriage this year and we were the first gay couple to be married in the Meeker Mansion here in Puyallup, we were overwhelmed by the love and support showed us that day. Mike was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army for six years and his unit was part of Operation Desert Storm in 1991. He worked for the Social Security Administration for over 30 years. He began his career with the agency as a Customer Service Representative, serving the public in many positions over the years but most recently as a Program Expert in such areas as data exchange and disclosure. He will be remembered for being straightforward and wanting to get things done quckly but fairly.

Mike is survived by his husband, Tony Wasser, parents B. Michael Webb and Donna Webb and his siblings Cheryl Webb and Danisha ("Dani") Webb.
