Martin Kelly Sprout March 20, 1946 - March 16, 2018 On March 16, 2018, Martin Kelly Sprout, known to family and friends as "Marty," passed away at the age of 71 years old. Marty will be forever remembered by his wife, Susan, of 21 years, and his children, Melanie and her husband Todd and Martin Jr and his daughter, Kelly Sloan. His stepchildren, Clarizza and her husband Bryan, Kelvin and his wife Melinda, and Cheryll. Most of all, he will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren Jordan, Skyler, Caitlyn, Kellin and Kayla; and will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and close friends. He was born and raised in East Liverpool, Ohio and moved to Carpinteria, California. In December of 1965, he joined the Army, where he was a Tech Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Along with his honorable discharge, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Marksman Badge (Rifle), Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. After serving with the Army, his family moved to Renton Washington. Then a couple years later, he became a lifelong resident of Eatonville, where he spent most of his life with his wife Susan. He was a very dedicated vending mechanic for the Delicor Company and Eurest Compass Group, where he finally retired after 30 years. He enjoyed doing many things like traveling to different places, going to the Mariners and Seahawks games, playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with his family. We will always remember his unique smile, his kind heart, and his love for life, family and friends. The viewing will be held at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup on Wednesday, April 4 and Thursday, April 5 from 1pm to 7pm, with a Mass Service from 5-6pm on Thursday. A Celebration of Marty's Life and burial will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on April 6 at 1:30pm. Reception will follow.
