Marlyn June Fisher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away in Puyallup on April 24, 2024, at the age of 82. Marlyn, the daughter of the late Clarence and June Ragan, was born in Mound City, MO on her grandmother's kitchen table. Her family moved to Washington in 1943 to work in the shipyards. Marlyn graduated from Sumner High School in 1960 and soon after married her husband Richard Fisher with a 63 yearlong life journey where they settled in Puyallup.
Marlyn was a Room Mom at Firwood Elementary and had so much love, kindness, and patience that she shared with the students. She helped them with reading and at recess she taught crocheting and embroidery. Marlyn was a foster parent and fostered many children over the years. Marlyn was a member of the Puyallup Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 53 years. Marlyn also worked at and retired from Puyallup Kmart. Her hobbies included bowling, reading, crossword puzzles, crafts, sewing and crocheting. She entered many items in the Puyallup Fair and won several ribbons.
She leaves behind her husband, Richard; daughter-in-law, Cherlyn “Cheri;” son, Edward Fisher (Julie) and daughter, Teresa Smith (Rob); brother, Michael Ragan (Vicki), 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Marlyn is preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Ragan, and son Michael “Mick” Fisher.
