Marilyn "Nana" Savage, 78, of Puyallup took her final rest on January 5, 2019 after a long battle with breast/bone cancer. Born July 22, 1940 to Emmanuel and Gladys Becker she was raised in Sumner. After graduating from Sumner High and Tacoma General Nursing School, she married the love of her life on December 21, 1962. They raised their family in Idaho and also lived in Oregon, Mississippi, and Alaska before returning to Puyallup. Marilyn joins her beloved husband, Hank, who preceded her in death in 2008. Family members include daughter, Brenda Schuman and husband Ted; son, Aaron Savage and wife Janelle and their children, Roman and Ragan; sisters Joanne (Fred) Palmer, Jean Clark and brother Jim (Betty) Becker and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn loved gardening, collecting antiques (always claiming the original box made something more valuable), visiting with family and friends over a cup of coffee, watching James Bond movies and eating olives. She was a faithful follower of her Lord and Savior and a prayer warrior who was always ready to listen and offer support and encouragement. She attended Puyallup Nazarene Church and Tacoma Christian Reformed Church. A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31:30-31
