Lynnes Louise Welch

October 20, 1929 — April 11, 2022

On April 11, 2022, Lynnes Louise (Stearman) Welch, beloved Mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend went to be with her risen savior the Lord Jesus Christ.

Lynn was born to Gladys R. (Thompson) Stearman and Loyd C. Stearman on October 20, 1929, in Seminole Oklahoma.  She graduated from Ryan High School in Ryan, Ok.  Lynn continued her education at Ft. Steilacoom Community College.

She survived by her sister, Linda Joy “Jo” Wiley, and her 3 children; Sharon E. Walton (William “Ed”), Kristie J. Leighton (Daryl), Donald T. Streich (Elaine), and 2 step children; Christopher F. Welch and Michael R. Welch (LaRee).  She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a handful of great great grandchildren.

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” H. Welch, her daughter, Pamila G. (Streich) Jeffcoat, her son, John L. Streich and six of her siblings.

During Lynn’s last 28 years working at Boeing she was a lead in the Fabrication Department. She retired after working at Boeing for 40 years.

She was very involved with South Hill Baptist Church.  Lynn enjoyed leading the Ladies Sunday school class. She was also the Prayer Team Leader for the church. While living in Omak she was involved with Tunk Valley Grange, TOPS WA 1193, Omak, Okanogan County Artist Association, Western and Native Art Show Committee. She moved to Puyallup and became a KOPS member and continued to draw and paint.

Her celebration of life was on April 15, 2022 at South Hill Baptist Church.  Arrangements by Powers Funeral Home, 253-845-0536.
