Lorna M. (Beitz) Shaw
Lorna was born May 13th, 1933, and passed away unexpectedly at home on June 4th, 2020.
Lorna was born in Tacoma, WA and lived her entire life in Puyallup, WA. She was a graduate of
Puyallup High School Class of 1951, and had classmates that she would still meet on occasion
for coffee or lunch.
She held several secretarial positions during her work years, but her most important and
cherished job of her life was being a Wife to her husband Clayt, Mother to her only daughter
Cheryl Osborne (husband Stan), Grandmother to her granddaughter Kelli Loudin (husband Brad)
and Great Grandmother to Chace & Chaeley her cherished Great Grandchildren. She is also
survived by her dog Snooks, who she loved dearly.
Lorna and Clayt were married for 61 years, and through the years enjoyed so many activities.
In their early years together they enthusiastically boated in the San Juan Islands and on Hood
Canal. They also enjoyed time with their many friends taking their camping trailers to Iron
Creek Campground and Timber Trails. Back then camping was an every weekend affair for their
family, and they couldn’t wait to get away.
In retirement, they traveled in their motorhome, and enjoyed seeing much of the Western
United States until their last trip that they took to visit the canyon lands of Moab, Utah with
Cheryl & Stan.
Lorna and Clayt always enjoyed a good Game of Cards, Mexican Train or Dominoes with their
numerous boating buddies, camping friends, neighbors and family and friends at home.
Lorna’s most cherished pastime was spending time with her family.
