Linda Marie Thompson Harlow dutifully and successfully completed her earthly sojourn, Monday, September 11, 2023, in Orting, Washington. Linda is now reunited with her eternal partner, Darrell, and beloved son, Brad.
Linda was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 6, 1940, to Ruth Williams Thompson and Bernard Hancock Thompson. Both of whom predecease her as well as older sister Bettie Worthington. Linda is survived by her younger sister, Susan Thompson Brooks, Columbia, Tennessee. Niece: Amanda Bicknell; Nephews: Wesley Thompson Ball, Matthew Thompson Weaver.
In a love story that sparked at first meeting and continues today, Linda married Darrell Edward Harlow in 1961. This marriage was later solemnized in the Seattle Washington Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. To this union was born Bradley Thompson Harlow who preceded Linda in death in August of 2021. Darrell passed away on September 30, 2005.
Linda attended Auburn University and explored an airline career before flying Westward to the Great Northwest where she began, what turned out to become, a 40-year career with the Federal Government Immigration and Naturalization Services at the SeaTac airport. Linda progressed from receptionist to supervisor. While working full-time Linda received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington, Tacoma.
Fashion-model and movie-star beautiful Linda's bright, wholesome appearance and pleasant, unaffected demeanor served her well in a variety of business, public, and private, life-settings of Wife, Mother, Supervisor, Role-Model, and Disciple. As teacher and example, Linda, a strong and lovely woman of character and substance affected many lives for the better with her living example of faith and testimony.
