Lev at age 98 years, passed peacefully during her sleep at the Bella Mar Extendecare in Santa Monica, California. She was born in Maaloy, Norway and at the age of 8 years, she came to the United States with family coming across Canada and down to Tacoma, Washington. She spoke no English when she started the first grade. As the high achiever she was determined to be, she consequently completed Grade 1 and 2 with honors in a single year. She excelled in school and graduated from High School second in her class of 700. She was passionate and very accomplished in sports and was Captain of the Swimming Team and also the Tennis Team. During her life, she was blessed to have Katherine Lee as her "American Mother". Upon graduating from High School, she immediately went to Secretarial School. She subsequently worked at a Certified Public Accounting Firm, and for forty years in Administration at the Clover Park School District and then retired from the Boeing Company. Determined to be a dedicated American, she became a Naturalized American Citizen and for many years campaigned for English as the first language of the United States of America. February 14th, 1942, she married William Kline and two weeks later he was drafted into the Second WW and was gone for three years. February 17th, 1946 their daughter Linda Liv was born and they began parenthood. They loved to travel and the many celebratory events with all the relatives. Lev was predeceased by mother Hilda Jensen, her husband William Kline and her brother Arvid Myrold. She is survived by her sister Audhild Sjo in Norway, and her daughter Linda and her husband Frank Jensen. Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM in the morning, on Thursday, August 30th, 2018 at the Powers Funeral Home, 320 West Pioneer Avenue, Puyallup, Washington 98371 The Family requests no donations.
