Born in Okinawa, Japan and raised by her wonderful grandparents, Kiyo is survived by her older brother in Japan. Kiyo met her husband, Don (predeceased 2016), on the Kadena Base in Okinawa and shortly was married. In 1966 Kiyo immigrated to the USA with Don and their infant daughter, Karen (predeceased, 2020), when Don was discharged from the Air Force. They lived in Lakewood, WA from that point on. She learned English, American culture and to drive so that she could take her daughter to therapy at Good Samaritan Children’s’ Therapy Unit. She loved to play bingo, win and share her proceeds along with participating in the Okinawan Dance Society. Kiyo spent the last few years at Patriot’s Glen in Bellevue with many caring people. She lived a full life and has peacefully passed away to join her Keiko and Don. No service by request. According to Kiyo’s wishes, donations in her name may be made to MultiCare Good Samaritan Children’s Therapy Unit, 407 14th Ave SE, Puyallup, WA 98372
