Kenneth Lynn Mortenson

Kenneth Lynn Mortenson "Ken", 53 of Spanaway, Washington passed away on Sunday December 4th, 2022.

Ken was born on Sunday May 1st, 1969, in Puyallup, Washington to Rick and Linda Mortenson and was the oldest of three.  He was due April 1st, but he fooled his parents and made them wait another month before they finally were able to hold him in their arms.

Ken attended Bethel High School and next joined the United Association Local 26 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather, uncles, brother and cousins.  Ken built two homes for his family.  He was multitalented in his work and with his hands; he could build or fix just about anything and had many self-taught talents such as painting cars or repairing dirt bikes.  Ken loved adventure sports and was happiest spending time with his son, brother and cousins on the dirt bike track, jet skiing, knee boarding, running or snowboarding with family.  Ken also proudly served as a big brother and uplifted those around him.

Ken deeply loved his family and those close to him.  He will be remembered as someone you could always depend on.  His spirit was "All Love".

Ken is survived by his parents, Richard and Linda, brother Eric, sister Alisa, son Mitch, daughter Nicole and granddaughter Evalynn.  Plus, many uncles, aunts and cousins who all loved him very much.   A celebration of life will be held in the Spring for Ken.
