June Malotutoatasi Tavita Meki

June was only 27 years old when she was called to be with our Heavenly Father. June was our songbird with a humble heart of laughter and a contagious smile that warmed everyone’s heart. 

June was born June 1st, 1997 at LBJ Hospital in American Samoa to her parents Tavita & Vaifoa Meki. She was the youngest of 8 siblings. June held many titles, she was a daughter, a sister, a dog/cat mom, a coworker, a best friend, a partner, but most importantly she was an aunty. June never had children of her own but was a proud aunt to 19 nieces and nephews. She loved nothing more than attending their school events, talking to them on their schools’ days and their future. 

Music was June’s first love. She never turned down an opportunity for a karaoke session, even if it was at 2am. June was also a gamer and where she met her partner, Joshua Tristan. June was a lover, and she made sure everyone around her felt loved. 

While June left us far too soon, the impact she has had with everyone whom she has encountered will be felt for the rest of our lives. June’s journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. June’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, coworkers and many of her accomplices.
