Judy (Ball) Ferguson, a beloved family matriarch, has passed on peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 at the age of 82.
Born on February 6th, 1942, Judy was filled with warmth and wisdom, and a deep love for her family. Growing up as the eldest of seven siblings, Judy took a mothering role and had a deep adoration for their mother, whose love was carried on through Judy after her passing in 1976. Growing up with five brothers and one sister, then raising three children, Judy had a young life full of work and adventure.
Judy joined the workforce at an early age and worked for some time in the Black Hole at Boeing then worked on Navy vessels at Todd Pacific Shipyard as part of the frigate program until an injury in the 1980s.
Always fashionable, Judy loved to dress extravagantly, throw incredible parties, and have elegant excursions to the ballet or a fancy dinner. Judy follows her beloved mother, four brothers, a sister, and her eldest son, and is survived by a daughter, son, daughter-in-law, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, and many nieces and nephews. Judy’s life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and community; may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held Saturday, October 26th at 1pm. We will be gathering for a potluck at her home in Puyallup.
