Joanne Louise Coty

Mom passed away October 3rd at St. Joseph Hospital due to a heart issue. She was born April 14th,1930 in Hebo, Oregon to Bunc and Edith Hayden. Mom is survived by her sister Bobbie Hugh. She attended school K-8th grade in Mist, OR, 9th grade in Vernonia, OR, and High School in Morton, WA.

Joanne married the love of her life Bud Coty on July 25th, 1952. They had 6 children: Debbie (Mike) Rivard, Susie Hoke, Patty (Randy) Olson, Les Coty, Clark (Barb) Coty, Anita (Brian) Saunders, 17 grandchildren, and she was blessed with 20 great grandchildren. She loved each and everyone very much.

Joanne was a stay home mom for years that kept her very busy with 6 children. She worked as a cook at nursing homes in the local area in her later years. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends, Halloween parties, and decorating for each holiday. She loved cooking (a family favorite was her apple pies), camping, going to the ocean, digging and cooking clams. Her favorite vacationing place was Hawaii. She enjoyed spending time with friends, family, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Mom was a very special Mother and Grandmother who will always be in our thoughts and will be missed dearly.

A memorial will be held November 4th at 11:00am at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup with a celebration of life following at Orting Eagles Hall.
