Jerome Robert (Bob) Jewell was born on May 18, 1942 in Portland, OR to Jerry Jewell and Marjorie Rivers Jewell, and
died unexpectedly on December 19, 2022. Bob was the second of three siblings: Jeralyn (and Bill) Forrester, who
predeceased him, and his brother, Daryl (and Darlene) Jewell. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of 38 years, and
children, Robin (and Tobey) Montgomery, Dona (and Peter) McCann, Heather (and Curt) LeBlanc, Brett (and Rebecca)
Wyant, and Veronica Wyant, as well as 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Bob was an active member of All Saints since 1985, helping others in their faith journey by teaching CCD and
participating in RCIA as a sponsor and dismissal facilitator.
Bob retired from The Boeing Company after 39 years in 2001. In his retirement, he volunteered at the All Saints Food
Bank and worked with many loving souls to feed others. Here, he used his organizational skills to use the facilities
efficiently and purchase food at the best price.
He was a past president and member of the 2-29 Republican Club. In his younger years, Bob played his favorite sport,
basketball, and took his family and friends on river rafting trips. He used his reasoning skills and wit to make up a myriad
of rhymes and stories to catch the gullible listener. He was always positive in his outlook on life and encouraged others to
look at both sides of the coin before making decisions. We will miss his laughter and his selfless heart.
A funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, Puyallup, WA, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. In
lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the All Saints Food Bank.
