Jeffrey C Larson

March 28, 1947 — November 9, 2018

Jeffrey C. Larson, 71, of Puyallup, Washington, succumbed to cancer in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on November 9, 2018. Born March 28, 1947, in Seattle, Washington, he was the son of the late Lawrence S. Larson and Hazel G. (Whitehouse) Larson. Jeff lived for his wife, children, and grandchildren. They were his everything. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda M. Larson; along with three children; Megan and Robert Gallwas of Puyallup, Washington, Sarah Larson of Orting, Washington, and Kevin and Marisa Larson of Smith River, California; brother Terrancy Larson of Kent, Washington, and sister Kay Pohl of Everett, Washington; eight grandchildren, Brennan Gallwas, Emerson Gallwas, Greyson Gallwas, Sydnie Donohue, Grace Donohue, Hunter Donohue, Carter Larson, and Colten Larson; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Jeffrey was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone. Jeff was a hard worker who spent many years working for the phone company so he could provide for his family. Jeff always listened to people, and never left anyone out. He was a very caring, patient, loving, strong, and compassionate person, who always put the needs of others before his own. A very descriptive and great story teller, he was able to command anyone's attention. Jeff also had a love for photography, and spent much of his free time creating and expressing himself through photographic art. When not at home in Puyallup, Washington, Jeff could be found at his second home in Black Butte Ranch, Oregon, or at the condo in Long Beach, Washington. It was at these locations that many stories and adventures were written with his wife and family. As well as where you would find him most as peace. It was the simple things around him in life that he never took for granted, commenting daily how fortunate and thankful he was. Above all, Jeff was absolutely devoted to his wife and children. He was a father who was always involved in every detail of his children's lives and supported, respected and loved his wife unconditionally. He was a man of strong faith who believed in the beauty and peace that would await him after his passing. An open house celebration of life will be held between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM or until till the last person departs, Saturday, November 17th at Robert and Megan Gallwas' home, 6710 81st Street Ct E Puyallup WA 98371. Family and friends may come at any time to share stories, laugh, cry, and celebrate Jeff. We ask that when you arrive that you park on the side of the streets and make sure to not block driveways or park on sidewalks. A special thank you to the many family and friends for their loving care and support during his final days as well as the days following Jeffrey's passing. The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards the University of Washington Medical Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for giving us so much extra time with Jeff. Also, many thanks to Powers Funeral Home for being so understanding and accommodating during this difficult time.
