Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Armstrong was born February 21, 1944, in Sacramento, California and passed peacefully in her sleep at her Puyallup home on October 2, 2021. Jackie devoted her life to caring for children, not only her own, but also others as she spent many years working for Tacoma Public Schools and then moved on to become a daycare director.
Jackie was a caring and loving woman who would do anything for anybody and never let you forget how much she loved you and that she was proud of you. She was also very feisty and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. Her favorite color was any shade of purple, she loved pugs, sports, and had a passion for collecting penguins. She spent many years traveling and going on adventures with her family, whom she loved the most.
Jackie is survived by her children, Scott, David, Rose, Michelle, Harry Jr, and Jennifer; brother and sister, Doug and Robin; grandchildren, Crystal, Shawna, Nicole, Michelle, Tyler, Haley, Madelynn, Sabrina, and Desiree; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
After a long, wonderful life, Jackie now rests peacefully with her beloved husband, Harry and her legacy will never be forgotten as she left an impression on everybody she met. We will miss you and we love you so much, Mom, Gma, Duckie.
A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at her son, David’s home (1701 N. Mildred St. Tacoma, WA 98406) on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Interment to follow 10.30am,Tuesday, October 26th at Tahoma National Cemetery.
