Gregory Glyn (Sundance) Smith

Gregory Glyn Smith (Sundance), born July 19, 1950, went to be the the Lord July 17, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. Greg was born in Tacoma, Washington and spent the past 27 years of his life in Tombstone, Arizona. Greg loved his cat, Tigger 3, the heat, outdoors, prospecting, the cowboy life, and traveling home 2-3 times a year to spend time with family. Greg was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. He loved and cared for his family and friends dearly. He was preceded in death by his first mother, Margorie Jacobs Smith, father; John Glyn Smith, and other extended family of the Ericksons, Jacobs, and Whites, along with his cats Tigger 1 and Tigger 2. Survivors include his second mother, Betty Smith (Bob), brothers Brad (Shelley) and Scott (Gina); nephews Brandon (Angie), Scottie, and Hunter, niece Ashley Hardesty (Andrew), great nieces Emily, Haley, and Jade Smith and Mackenzie Hardesty, close cousins Eric and Pam Erickson and family, extended family Mary Wilcox, and dear friends from Tombstone Joe, Booger, and Raleigh, just to name a few. Greg wished to come home to the Northwest the last few months of his life to be with family, so his brothers traveled down to Arizona and brought him home to spend the rest of his time with loved ones. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 11th, 2018 at 10:00 am at our family plot at the Yelm Cemetery, 11540 Cemetery Rd SE, Yelm, WA 98597. Following the service, a lunch reception to celebrate Greg's life will be held at Scott and Gina Smith's home, 10005 251st St. E, Graham, WA 98388. There will also be a "Walk Down" held in Tombstone, Arizona on August 23rd, 2018 at high noon to honor Sundance. The family especially wants to thank the amazing and caring people at Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma. We love you brother! God Bless, your family will miss you dearly.
