George met his wife of 50 years, Terry in Olympia, Washington on September 3, 1970 and married on February 22, 1971. They welcomed their first child, Jody on August 29, 1971. Their second daughter, Charie’ arrived on June 22, 1973. Their last daughter, Jennifer on June 5, 1976.
George was a very strong, loving family man. He will be remembered for his big laugh, friendly-welcoming personality, and he was a man of God. He was loved by everyone he encountered, and he will be dearly missed.
He was proud of his long history as a crane operator of 25 years at Schnitzer Steel Tacoma, formally known as General Metals. He loved the stock market, the Seattle Seahawks, playing card and dice games, singing and spending time with family and friends.
He was very active with his church family at South Hill Christian Church and loved Men’s Breakfast and Men’s Retreat.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Charie’, his Mother Sylvia, Father Albert, his parent-in-laws Charles “Buck” & Jane and his brother, Wally.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Terry, daughters and son-in-law, Jody & Shannon, Jennifer and his grandchildren, Edgar Jr, Giovanni, Gabriella, Bradley, and Boston. As well as his siblings Tom & Sue, Sandra & Ron and their families.
He felt very blessed to have met his birth mother Vera Mae on May 2, 2021, and his siblings Billie, Ron & Joyce, and niece, Tonya.
