Elizabeth "Betty" Lorraine Stevens

Elizabeth "Betty" L. (Hora) Stevens February 18, 1937-June 10, 2018 Loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, she left us late June 10, 2018. Betty was born in Longview WA to Frank and Julia (Jurach) Hora on February 18, 1937. She grew up in Tacoma WA and was a member of the first graduating class or Franklin Pierce High School in 1955. Although she was a professional working mom, she provided her family, extended family and friends with many experiences and fond memories. She loved traveling, camping, fishing, gardening, dancing, and doing jigsaw puzzles; but most of all she loved her Mariners! Laughing and making others laugh brought her such joy. Family was her first priority and she dedicated her life to us. After her retirement from Boeing as an accountant, she spent time traveling and volunteering for the City of Kent and Auburn Hospital. She raised her children in Renton but moved to Sumner to be near her family. Betty was a remarkable woman leaving behind many who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her older brother Victor Hora (Virgina); children Sharon Fochtman (Doug), Mark Stevens, and Dean Stevens; grandsons Shannon Fochtman (Tracy), Greg Fochtman (Kendra), Brian Fochtman (Amanda), Chad Stevens, Jake Stevens, Aiden Stevens, and Tyler Stevens; great-grandchildren Alesha, Nathan, Gavin, Mason and Sophia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest brother Frank and her sister-in-law Doreen Hora . Her Rosary will be at 7PM on June 14, 2018 at Powers Funeral Home 320 W. Pioneer Ave. Puyallup, WA 98371. Her funeral will be at 11AM on June 15, 2018 at St. Andrew Catholic Church 1401 Valley Ave. E.
