Elaine Marie Smith

Elaine Marie Smith was called home to our Heavenly Father on January 25, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup Washington, at the age of 74.

Elaine was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 25, 1950, to her parents Hershel and Ruth Johnson. As a child, they moved to Oak Harbor Washington, on Whidbey Island, in 1959 where, in 1988 she meet the love of her life, Donald (Chip) Smith. The two moved to California in 1989 and were married on August 8, 1992, in Covina California.

Elaine loved animals and people. She was a Home Health Care provider and River Rafting guide as well as working in the Retail and Hotel industries. After she retired, she volunteered at a spay and neuter clinic in Yakima Washington.  Elaine loved nature and spent as much time as she could at the ocean, in the mountains or in the desert.  When not enjoying nature, Elaine put her creativity to work doing crafts including painting, beading and many others.

Elaine is survived by her husband Chip, older brother James and his wife Gerri, younger brother Roy and his wife Robbin, along with their children Rebecca and Michael and Rebecca's son Tobyn.
