Duane Allen Cash

October 10, 1939 — August 9, 2021

Duane Allen Cash of Puyallup, Washington passed away on Monday August 9, 2021 reaching the age of 81 years old. He passed away peacefully with his wife and family by his side.

Duane was born on October 10, 1939 in Grand Forks, ND to Amelia Bartuska (Cash) (Schroeder)

He was a strong patriarch to his family, a good friend to all

He was a decent father who took care of his children the best way he knew how

He was a loving grandfather and a great grandfather to many

He was also known for his many hobbies including jeeping, fishing and hunting, canning , making his own wine and beer and also he loved having an occasional glass of old crow. And spending his spare time with friends and family

Duane was a lighthearted and goofy guy he always knew how to have a good time and knew how to give you a hard time if you were willing to take it. That would include getting free labor from anyone he could.

Duane was married to Elizabeth Moore from 1963-1980 and had Two Beautiful daughters

Duane remarried Nancy Cash July 2000 They spent his final years having adventures and sitting on their front porch feeding the ducks (Duane Hated all the ducks)

Duane was in the plumber’s union for many years and retired to spend his retirement on his own little oasis of a lake and property he loved taking care of his fruit trees and fishing and mowing the yard.

A man who cared deeply for his loved ones and their well being, even in his final days.

Duane was a good man. A strong willed, stubborn pain in ass, but genuinely loving. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, sparkling blue eye, gentle heart and a wildly inappropriate behavior. He will be missed by many!

He is survived by his wife Nancy Cash, daughter Della Russell-Cross, (Jeff Cross) five grandchildren one grandson in law, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter Corrine Wilcox, brother John Cash, Mother Amelia Schroeder, and his fuzzy sidekick Maynard Bruce.

We will miss you.
