Duane Oscar Carlson

Duane Oscar Carlson went home to his heavenly Father on February 19, 2018. Duane Carlson was born in Ray, ND on Oct 8, 1927 to Carl and Eda Carlson. He is survived by his wife Gladys (Betts) of 63 years, his son Ken (Carol) and daughter Sue (David) his sister Grace Leque Brown, Grandchildren Kristin, Jordan, Kelly (Scott) and Greg (Jessica). Great Grandchildren Malachi, Gavin, Damian, Haley & Hailey. Two nephews Norman and Tim. Duane retired from the WSU Experiment Research Center in Puyallup after 38years cultivating his love for tractors. They both loved going to tractor shows, camping, traveling, being outdoors and feeding the birds. He found great joy in visiting shut ins, attending Church and hosting at Elbe Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Lutheran Church of Christ The King, Elbe Church or Lutheran World Relief. Memorial Service will be held March 3rd at 1:30 pm at Lutheran Church of Christ the King 1710 85th St E Tacoma WA 98445. A private burial will be at the Sumner Cemetery.
