Douglas Lee Register

Doug was born to Lee and Phyllis Register on July 1, 1946. Doug grew up in Corbett, Oregon. He joined the army in February 1965. He was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; Thailand; Ft. Hood, Texas and Vietnam. On April 3rd, 1967 he married Kathie Harley in Belton, Texas. Doug and Kathie had two children, Kenneth (Candace) and Denise Blake (Warren). They helped to raise Doug's brothers son, Shawn, after Phillip was severely injured in an accident. Doug enjoyed hunting with his family and had become an avid four-wheeler with his kids and grandchildren. Doug felt truly blessed with his children and grandchildren. The grandchildren are Zackary Sutherland, Jenna Bitt (Zachary), Drew Meader, Dylan Meader, Garrett Register, David Blake, Kaitlyn Blake, Phillip Register, Cameron Register and Hunter Register. He was absolutely thrilled when he became a great-grandfather to Taylor Beth Meader and to Jacxon Drew Meader. Wyatt and Madelene Smith are the grandchildren of his heart. Doug is survived by wife, Kathie; son, Kenneth (Candace); daughter, Denise Blake (Warren); Shawn Register, Jerry Buss (Mable), Karen Buss and Jim Buss (Susan).
