Donna May (Muller) Skidmore passed away quietly on March 14, 2024 at the age of 77 after a courageous two year battle with ovarian cancer. Donna was born in Puyallup WA on May 19, 1946 to Conrad and (Rose) Marie (Ulrich) Muller, the youngest of four children.
Donna's parents moved her from public elementary school to a private Catholic school in 1954 when the newly founded All Saints Catholic School opened in Puyallup. She graduated from Puyallup High School with the Class of 1964. Donna married Pete C. Skidmore on July 25, 1980 in Reno, Nevada. Together they enjoyed local travel, with a rip to Switzerland in 1986, wine tasting, and participated in Masonic organizations, where she served as Royal Matron twice in Amarant. Donna started her career in the banking industry. She moved to working with her cousin on her chicken farm for many years. Donna ended her career in the insurance industry working for over 25 years as an Insurance Office Manager for Hartley & Hartley Insurance, University Place, WA.
Donna was very proud of her Swiss heritage. She was a member of the Tacoma Swiss Ladies Society, Helvetia. She and her husband were also members of the Puyallup Eagles. She was a hard worker, a little stubborn, quite fiesty and very giving of her time. She enjoyed visiting her many nieces and nephews and their families in the Skagit Valley several times in a year.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and her husband Frank & Alice Reichlin, a brother-in-law (Louia) Ed Weidman and a brother John Muller. She is survived by her husband Pete Skidmore, sister Edna Weidman, sister-in-law Susie (Hoarth) Muller and eleven nieces and nephews, and their children.
