Donald Joseph Auvil

Donald (DJ) Joseph Auvil, born February 19, 1941, stepped into heaven December 5, 2023 after battling cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur & Mary and older brother Richard.

He is survived by his wife, Lilah, of 57 years, two sons Darin and Mark (Elisa) and two grandsons, Parker and Justin. Other siblings include his brother Dale (Carol) and sister Nancy.

Growing up in California, Texas and Washington, he graduated from Mossyrock High School and served in the United States Air Force.

Retiring from the Union Pacific Railroad in 2002, he took retirement very seriously. Computers, genealogy, reading and listening to music were his passions. A private family graveside is planned later this year.
