David Hamilton Acosta, 35, of Puyallup Wa, passed away Monday January 8th, 2024. David was born in Auburn WA on the 4th of July 1988, to parents Carlos and Rita Acosta. He was the youngest of two children.
David attended Puyallup schools beginning with Brouillet Elementary School, Stahl Jr High, and Emerald Ridge High School. As a kid growing up in South Hill, David loved to play with his childhood friends from the neighborhood. He could be found morning till night skateboarding, riding bikes, and generally running around the neighborhood causing mischief with his buddies.
As a young man David loved to play sports, football and boxing being his favorites. He was the captain of his Jr High football squad and was a competitive amateur boxer. David was a wonderful artist who in fact won awards at the Washington State fair. He was such a well-rounded young man with all the boys wanting to be like him, and the girls wanting to be near him.
A little later in life he began a relationship with his girlfriend Kayla, and out of that union came the most important and wonderful blessing he could ever have asked for. On the same day (July 4th) 24 years later in 2012, his daughter Alexandra Lee Acosta was born. David was the proudest a father could be and doted upon his daughter for the next 11 and a half years until his death.
David more recently in life was employed as a union construction worker with Miles Resources. He was engaged to his fiancée Sara and enjoyed spending time with those closest to him including his daughter, brother, and nephew. Movies, bowling, restaurants, and all-around outdoor adventure were some of things he loved. He was a proud gym rat and never missed a day lifting weights and exercising. You could find him posing in the mirror in his muscle shirt at his local gym, or in his bathroom at home.
David leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his daughter Alexandra, mother and father Carlos and Rita, brother Daniel, nephew Conner, fiancée Sara and her daughter little Belle, as well as all his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
I love you little brother.
