Darrell Eugene Nordyke

Darrell Nordyke Age 74 passed on Monday June 27th. The son of Olan and Eva Nordyke, brother to Harvey, Wayne, Douglas (Doc), and Janice (19xx-19xx).  Darrell grew up in Pacific, WA. He was a graduate of Auburn High School Class of 1966.  He married his high school sweetheart Barbra (Cruson) Nordyke. They were married 43 years before the passing of Barb in 2010. They had two daughters, Julie Nordyke-Moltke (1969-2013) and Jenn Nordyke and three grandsons Riley, Quinncy and Taylor.  Darrell and Barb were long time Sumner business owners of Hill Stop Country Store and Darrell’s Garage. After retirement they spent winters in Belize and summers on Hood Canal. In his younger years you could often find Darrell racing his Camaro around the Sumner / Auburn valley.  No matter how old, Darrell could be found off dirt bike riding with friends; on the water in Belize; or at one of his many cabins entertaining friends and family. You might have even seen him in the sky with a motor strapped to his back paragliding. Darrell will be missed by his many family members, friends, past customers, and the many others who knew him.
