Dan Huber was born on June 6, 1947, in Puyallup, Washington to Louis and Marie Huber. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Orting High School. Dan worked in construction his entire working life. His hobby and passion were raising and racing pigeons, at which he was very good.
He had a military calling and was drafted to the fight in Vietnam in 1966. For his service, Dan was awarded the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a medal for marksman/sharpshooter.
Dan is survived by the love of his life, Peggy, whom he married 51 years ago; daughter Kristin (Theo); son Darin; grandson Quinn (Melinda); six great grandchildren; brother Donney; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Marie; and brother Denney.
Services to honor Dan will be held at Powers Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. A short visitation will begin at 10:00am, leading into a funeral service at 11:00am, followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm at Sumner City Cemetery. A reception will follow the committal at Highlands Community Center, 502 43rd Ave SE, Puyallup WA, 98374. Join us in celebrating Dan's wonderful life.
