Carole Anne Phillips

Carole Anne Phillips, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away at 4:00pm on May 29, 2024.

Carole was born on February 22, 1939, in Prosser, Washington to Walter B. Wininger and Mary M. Gill (Wagaman). She graduated from Sumner High School in 1957 and then went on to nursing school. Carole married Jack W. Phillips in 1959 and they had 4 children. While raising her family she used her nursing experience to care for friends and family members undergoing a health crisis.

Nothing thrilled her more than having holidays with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also enjoyed spending time with family vacationing and in her later years meeting up with friends and family at local restaurants.

Carole will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Walt Wininger.  She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jack Phillips, four children; Jackie Wanaka (Guyle), Mark Phillips (Angel), Kathy Schirman (Jim), and Kim Phillips (April); four brothers, Jim Wininger, Don Gill, Kevin Gill, and Doug Gill; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
