Bobby E. Hyman, best remembered for his infectious smile and consistently positive outlook, passed away on April 24th, 2018. Born in Sharpsburg, NC on June 6th, 1946, Bobby, the middle child of 13 siblings, enlisted in the Navy after graduation from high school. He worked his way from boilerman technician, through the warrant ranks and, after 21-1/2 years of service to his country, retired as a Lieutenant. Never one to pass time idly, Bobby worked on merchant ships for nine more years, completed a college degree in electronic engineering technology, and developed a successful woodworking business. Though he continued to putter in his workshop, Bobby's most recent endeavor was that of winemaking. Over a ten year period, he perfected his craft, taking great pleasure in teaching others along the way and amassing over 200 medals, ribbons and certificates for his wines. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Ann, daughters Dee Alta Hyman and Tonita Williams (Don), grandson Donald, Jr., and many brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces. A celebration of Bobby's life will take place on May 19th at 1:00 PM at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup. There will be a private interment at Mt. Tahoma Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Swedish Medical Center Foundation to support the Swedish Advanced Cardiac Support Fund at www.swedishfoundation.org. Arrangements by Powers Funeral Home.
