Beverly Kay Stone, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2024, in Puyallup, WA. She was born on April 5, 1951, to Edmund and Myrtle Kucera in Appleton, WI, and grew up in California alongside her sister, Gail.
In 1973, Bev met the love of her life, Tally Stone, while working at the Burroughs circuit board factory in Carlsbad, CA. They married on September 11, 1976, and settled in Puyallup, WA, drawn by the Pacific Northwest's fishing and hunting lifestyle. There, they built a beautiful life together, raising their two sons, Todd and Chase.
Bev had a gift for caregiving, pouring her heart into her roles as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She cherished her family, nurturing her children, grandchildren, and even a pet or two along the way. She especially loved supporting her grandchildren in their sporting events, concerts, and school performances, beaming with pride at their accomplishments. Her compassion extended to caring for her aging mother with tireless devotion for many years until her passing in 2020.
Bev was a member of South Hill Christian Church, where she actively participated in women’s ministry events, forging meaningful connections within her community. She had a special gift for listening and the gift of “gab”, spending hours in heartfelt conversations with loved ones, ensuring they felt heard and valued.
Bev is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Tally Stone; her sons, Todd Stone, and his wife, Lynessa Stone, and Chase Stone; her four cherished grandchildren, Emily and Levi Stone and Gunnar and Kellan Tinglum; her sister, Gail, and her husband, Eddie Mondoux; brother-in-law Lance Stone; sister-in-law Debbie Stone; and her many nieces and a nephew.
Bev's warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service to celebrate Bev’s life will be held at South Hill Christian Church in Puyallup, WA on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. All who loved her are welcome to attend and honor her legacy of love and care.
