Bernice Whitney, a proud, long-time resident of Puyallup passed away comfortably on February 23, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born in Little Falls Minnesota on April 3, 1927, and moved to Puyallup approximately 75 years ago. She retired from Puget Sound Bank after 30 years. She enjoyed her retired life with her husband Bill, playing cards, camping, and seeing the world. She was active in her community. She was passionate about art, Grannies Attic, and the Puyallup Senior Center. An Avid walker, she believed that 30 mins a day was the key to longevity, which proved to be true for her. She was a lifelong member of All Saints Church, loved life and her community. Bernice is survived by her brother Gerald Benusa (Jan), daughter Sandy Cunningham, Daughter in Law Debbie Orris, Stepdaughter Diana Dodd (Joel), Stepdaughter Sharon Louderback, Many extraordinary grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first Husband Robert Orris, Son Patrick, Daughter Mary Fran Orris Reda, sister Evelyn Knoll, and her late Husband William "Bill" Whitney whom she called her best friend. A memorial mass will be held on March 20th at All Saints Catholic Church at 11am. Bernice would like everyone to consider Organ donation.
