Barbara Jean Gasso

Barbara Jean Gasso was born on September 9, 1938 to Ellen Dawson and Arthur Peterson of the Puyallup Valley at St. Josephs Hospital in Pierce county. She had one brother (Jack) and five sisters. (Linda, Lynn, Betty, Merry and Evelyn)

She married Angelo Roy Gasso on September 14th of 1956 and had two children who proceeded her in death: Angela Annamarie and Allen Roy. A devoted wife and mother, she was a skilled artist who loved to paint stained glass and flowers on canvas. An avid reader of poetry, and master gardener - she dedicated herself to raising her granddaughter Sabrina after her daughter was taken by Multiple Sclerosis. Throughout raising her, she survived 5 different bouts of cancer - never failing in her steadfast support.

Barbara took her last watch over Sabrina and her two great grandchildren (Lorelei Rose Dorion & James Alexander Dorion) on September 19th when Covid complications ended her fight with pancreatic cancer.

Family and friends of Barbara are invited to Graveside Services at Woodbine Cemetery, October 8 at 11:00am and reception to follow.
