Ann Stumpf went to be with the Lord on 03/04/21. Ann was born Anna Marie Wolf on 8/25/1929 in Morton County, ND to Ernst and Otillia Wolf. Ann was the oldest of seven children, Harold, Linda, Jeanette, Betty, Jim, and Darlene. Ann was raised on a dairy farm where she learned the value of faith, family, and hard work. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Ernst and Otillia, her husband Frank and her sisters Linda and Betty.
Ann met her husband Frank in Huff, ND the summer of 1947 where she was teaching in a one room schoolhouse. At first sight of Ann, Frank told his sister he was going to marry that girl. They married June 1948. The couple moved to Tacoma, WA in 1950 with their first child Linda. Ann and Frank had 6 children: Linda (Dave) Lamb, Joyce (Chris) Taylor, Dennis (Cheryl) Stumpf, Kathy (Donald) Knoben, Patty (Coy) Anglin, Sandy (Lorraine) Stumpf. They had 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Ann and Frank raised their family with strong values that focused on their love, faith of God and love of family.
Ann was generous with her time and resources and volunteered frequently at Holy Disciples Catholic Church. Ann also enjoyed working and spent 23 years as a grocery cashier, mainly with Lucky Stores in Tacoma.
Ann was treasured by her friends and was “that” person who would come visit you when you were sick, not mobile, or just not able to get out. Ann had many hobbies which she shared with friends and family. She was an avid quilter and seamstress, attended multiple Bible studies, and was always ready to play cards at the drop of a hat. Ann walked regularly at the South Hill mall with her sister Darlene until the age of 90, where she made many new friends.
Ann had a beautiful soul; she provided many great memories for all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ann and Frank left a huge footprint on this world, the love and values they lived affected many people and they will not be forgotten. Ann will be greatly missed on earth and will always be a part of us. Services for Ann will be held at Holy Disciples Church in Puyallup on 03/12/21 at 11:00AM.
